The 10 Mile Road Race

This race is over an undulating course through urban Great Baddow, Galleywood and rural West Hanningfield.

There are route markers, 4 water stations (3 on route and 1 on site), 1 sponge station, and distance markers every mile.   There will be Marshals on the site and all the way round the course, with radio or telephone contact with Race Control for the duration of the race.   A Police vehicle and a race officials vehicle fitted with a time clock will lead the race, and a 'sweep' vehicle will follow the last runners.

Police Officers will also be in attendance on the site and around the course.

Click on the small map below to see a larger, downloadable, image of the course, with Mile marks and Water Station positions. A profile of the course is also available by clicking on it.   (These files are large)

The use of mp3 players, earphones or headphones whilst running is NOT allowed.

Any identified and verified infringement  WILL result in disqualification
