Results for the 2017 Charity Races

Sunday 14th May 2017. 11:00 am

The races have now been run, and the results are published.   Our results, and therefore the award of any prizes and trophies, are always based upon gun time, but we are also able to give chip times and position.   This, of course, all relies on each runner fastening the chip provided to their running shoes.   This year we’ve heard of some runners who didn’t check that they had removed the chips from their envelopes before throwing them away.   No chip - no time !!

To view the results available move your cursor over the ‘RESULTS’ tab on the navigation bar above, and then just follow the drop down links to the page that you want to look at.   On most reports you will need to use the vertical scroll bar on the right of the report to view all of it.

There were three runners in the 10 mile road Race, that we are aware of, that were still wearing earphones in spite of advance warnings not to.   One of them was noticed, and spoken to on the course by the BARR Scrutineer; one was spotted, identified and reported during the race by a Course Marshal, and the third was reported to the Race Management Team after the event.

We have decided that, on this occasion, no further action will be taken, but please note that runners MUST abide by the rules laid down by the organisers.

We still have available the ‘historic’ times and finish positions for the ‘ALL Runners’ classification in the 10 Mile Road Races in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.   Again just click on the year, or the ‘Historic Results’ tab above, and follow the tabs, and then use the vertical scroll bars on the right of the report if needed.
